Molinillo sandwich

A few years ago I went out with a series of sandwich and it was very popular. I did everything, from an incredible BLT to the famous Picado Cheese from New York, a tuna and, of course, this grinding sandwich.

What is a grinder sandwich?

A New England -style hero, the grinder can be hot or cold: the mine is hot. It is full of meat, cheese and a crispy, spicy and creamy salad, in addition to Parmesan, tomato and extra onion.

How to make a mill sandwich

  1. Make the salad: Start to soak the onions in the water. This eliminates part of the bitterness of onions.
  2. Mix the Iceberg lettuce in slices with a creamy mayonnaise dressing, red wine vinegar, oregano, crushed red pepper, chopped garlic and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add peppecini in slices and red onions in slices.

4. To assemble the sandwich: Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F. Start with an Italian sandwich bread in slices and add some Calabrian Chile pasta to both sides for a good kick.

5. Then, Capa Salami, Pepperoni spicy and prosciutto in the upper half and the Colby Jack and Havari cheeses in the other half.

6. Bake for 5 minutes or until the meats are hot and the cheese is tight.

7. Add the salad with tomato slices, more onion and parmesan, cut it and enjoy your life.

    Recipe Council

    • Doing this ahead. You can assemble the sandwich and keep it in the refrigerator beforehand. Then simply take it in the oven when it is ready to serve it. The salad, however, becomes quite soaked if it is too long. I say it’s better fresh.
    • Can you do this without pork? Yeah! Find Salami made of beef. Omits the prosciutto and replace it with turkey.

    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Add the red onion to a bowl, pour a little cold water on it and let it rest. This will take part from bitterness. Beat the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, oregano, red pepper and garlic cloves. Add lettuce, onion and pepperoncini, and give it a pleasure. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

    • Cort the bread by half and add the Calabrian Chile pasta to both sides of the bread. Add the cheese to one of the halves. Add the meat to the other half. Transfer to bake for baking for about 5 minutes, until the cheese melts and the meat is heated. Add the salad on the meat, along with some tomato slices, fresh onion and Parmesan cheese.

    • Cut in half and enjoy. #Grindersandwich

    Tips and tricks
    • You may wonder if you can do this in advance. And I say yes and no.
    • I love the mill salad itself. And I have actually made the salad alone, a piece of protein (such as chicken) and I have served them together. Bliss! Do you get the sandwich out of the equation completely? Yes, but it is still good.
