For 13 years (or more), our young minds made the annual summer transition to school. As for routines, that’s a long time. So long, that he trained our brains and created a pattern. Whether we have children at school or not, even as adults, we are aware when that time of year arrives. And our minds remember the feeling and the great change of energy.
But the enormous change of energy that occurs when the calendar made by the human points “that the school begins” does not coincide with the calendar of nature. Of course, we often tag at this time of the year “fall”, but that is far from being precise. The autumn equinox is not until September 22, and many parts of the US. UU. They do not begin to feel that nature changes towards autumn until October.
So, our trained minds feel this great change in energy, but our bodies (which are linked to nature) do not. Yoga often describes the “summer body experience” as focused on the outside. We have a greater awareness of the beauty of the outdoors. Our bodies are energized by the sun in a warm and quiet way. Our mood, naturally, is not due to achievements, but simply because there are more hours outdoors. This is very different from the sensation of new internal focused achievements for the new achievements of the “beginning of school”.
Due to all this, it is very common to feel that our mind-body connection is not in harmony during this strange moment when the human manufacturing calendar and the nature of nature are not combined.
But do we need harmony? What would happen if, now completely aware of the clash, we could take advantage of it instead of fighting him? What happens if we shoot for balance instead of harmony?
An idea is to use the summer environment to help us prioritize rest. It is very easy to be trapped in objective -oriented energy, just to run out in a few weeks. But the break is literally just outside our door! Only 15 minutes on foot or a 10 -minute soaking in the rear patio sun can provide a break that will reward us later. Another idea is to fully aware of conflicting energies. Keep in mind the attractiveness of the energy centered inside and counter it with the natural energy focused out of summer. Do not be buried by new objectives and projects. Come for a literal breath of summer air.
So we enter this calendar change, completely aware that our minds go in one way and our bodies go to another. And let’s use it to find a medium -sized balance.
Until next time
