Have I done enough? – Yoga path conversations

Have I done enough? – Yoga path conversations

Today marks the midpoint of my summer and the “enough” are beginning to drag. Have I done enough? Relaxed enough? Experienced enough? I could rule out this as excessive, but this is a pattern of common thought in my life. I often worry if I have done enough.

Many modern societies encourage us to feel empowered. And this makes it an incredible moment to be alive for many people traditionally without power. But this message has some involuntary waves. Sometimes, “empowered” is enrolled in our unconscious as “in power.” Is it able to make the most of a moment?

To make the most of a moment, we would first need the power to see the best possible result and then the power to make that happen. My science fiction fans, imagine to be Dr. Strange and be able to see all the possibilities of a moment. Unlike Dr. Strange, we are not mystical or magical. There are possible results that never and we could never think of millions of them!

The sigh of relief is that we either have the power to be the worst. Whatever you did; However, he reacted; What you said or did not say … What are the possibilities that of all the millions (unlimited?) Possible results, did you do the worst?

Old yoga philosophy speaks of APARIGRAHA, or without attachment. It is the idea of how the moments develop. We make a decision at the time, and then develop the way it will develop (or need to develop), and then experience all sensations (both in the body and in emotions). And then let that moment go. We have to let it go, or we may not be able to make decisions or feel the sensations of the next moment.

Appearance It also has incredible advice to fight “enough.” We do not have the power to do the best or the worst of a moment, do you remember? Nor do we have the “sufficient” superpower. We do not have the power to relax enough, experience enough, do enough, be enough.

Which means that we will have to settle for: We are enough.

Until next time
