Ingredients in Chia Pudín
- Milk does not dairy – I prefer almond or coconut milk.
- Chia seeds – Use black chia seeds, since I find that white chia seeds require a slightly different liquid relationship.
- Vanilla extract – You can also use fresh vanilla, but vanilla extract works equally well.
- Maple syrup – I find this balances the acidity of citrus fruits, but do not hesitate to adapt to your flavor preference.
- Orange zest – You can also use lemon zest, lime zest or even grapefruit zest.
- Winter citrus – I like to make a combination of orange, grapefruit, blood orange and tangerine. Other options include key lime (a little bitter but it can be its jam!), Oranges expensive, kumquat or grapefruit.

Frequent questions
Yes, sure. I like to use Arce syrup for sweetness, but you can exchange with a different liquid sweetener such as honey or agave.
Yes, you can easily replace a different milk without dairy products such as oat milk, coconut milk, soy milk or rice milk. If you are not vegan, you can also use milk milk. Simply keep in mind that if you are using milk milk and plan to precipitate winter citrus (which I do not recommend), you can end with more spicy milk flavor.
Absolutely! Feel free to duplicate or even triple this recipe.
Storage instructions
In the fridge: Save your Chia pudding in a hermetic container in the refrigerator for up to five days. If chia seeds have absorbed too much liquid for their taste, you can add a touch of milk before serving. I recommend storing winter citrus fruits separately and overcome just before serving.
