Being that yours is really a member of the Internet marketing team, it is my job to be aware of the latest trends, so I will continue starting this party!
Vintage lighting
My favorite cooking trend for 2018 is vintage lighting (or vintage inspiration). I love how this element, of so many elements in the kitchen, manages to completely influence the style of the entire room. Ancient and vintage inspiration lighting adds not only visual interest, but also the contextual interest. It is stimulating, resorting to ideas from history and the past, and making the viewer wonder things like: “I wonder what was from the lamp”, or “Wow, is it a real antiquity?”
I love the design aspects that make the mind think, and that is why I feel excited with this trend. In fact, we wrote a blog on this same theme a few months ago, see how to incorporate old lighting in the design of your kitchen.
MoTera or Touch of Taps
Maureen KileyPurchasing and Materials Manager
“It is no secret that winter tends to be the cold and flu season and this year, the flu is worse than it has been in a decade or more. What would happen if I told him that he can turn off the tap of his kitchen and continue with the wave of his hand and avoid touching it (and all those unpleasant germs)? The water simply turned away by stirring his hand on a sensor located in the upper part of the fauce The movement of his hands that will ignite the water when he begins to wash his hands and turn it off when he stops, minimizing the wasting water as well.

Intelligent technology
Alessandra DonatoInternet Marketing Manager
“I love the idea of intelligent technology for kitchen! It is a wonderful marriage between organic and inorganic, which for me makes a lot of sense.
Some of my favorite smart kitchen devices in 2018 include:
Cooking devices controlled by the application. Wifi -enabled kitchen devices are very useful for those with occupied lifestyles. These cooking devices controlled by applications provide flexibility to control meal preparation and cook from anywhere! A device that highlighted this year is a device called Anova Precision Coacher, a kitchen device Sous Vide, which allows you to cook food sealed foods in water at precision temperatures to get more even better quality results! And it’s just under $ 150 on Amazon!
House assistants activated by voice. New and constant domestic attendees such as Alexa, Google Home, Sonos and Siri are just the beginning. These voice attendees can quickly help you buy groceries, play your favorite music or help you convert units such as cups into ounces.
The Amazon board buttons and the dashboard wand. Are you running out in Keurig’s cups? Do you need to ask for more paper towels? With only a simple pressure of a button, these small and compact buttons can be joined anywhere in your home to ask for your most used supplies and kitchen foods. And with the Amazon Dash wand with Alexa, he can help you suggest new recipes for you, as well as add food and ingredients to your Amazon shopping cart for Amazon Fresh or Pantry to deliver! This practical device only costs $ 20! By the way, integrated to control all your other devices enabled for Alexa too! “

“For the shelf or not for the shelf, is it that the question for 2018? Open shelves can be beneficial for a multitude of reasons. Remove some of the wall cabinets and replace open shelves can really change a kitchen for the best cabinets. Cabinets can often give the sensation of a closed space, while open shelves instead of one or two cabinets make the living room more air; of the window.
Housing owners choose open shelves if they want to show special findings of their label sales, grandmother’s hand, special ceramics or simply everyday items. Having plates, bowls, outdoor cups is especially useful by having guests at home and do not have to open each cabinet to find a cup of coffee, it is in sight. “
