SHEET MASK | VT Cosmetics Vita Light All in One 3 Step Mask | Cosmetic Proof

bought by me

I had high hopes of writing more blogs this month, but working so much this season really wore me down, so I allowed myself a little grace (and naps) to catch up. I have today off as Sunday, so I think I’ll feel a LOT better when Monday comes around. I started my day with a Dior facial (which was glorious) and a little retail therapy at Holt Renfrew. I got home after fighting midday traffic downtown (like WTF) and had to do some shopping since I hadn’t been able to do anything for the last week and a half, had lunch and then promptly fell asleep for an hour while watching The good place. All in all, a good start to recovery!

We’ve all been excited VT Cosmetics this last while thanks to their Reedle Shot (review will come once I find out how I feel about it) and although I have used this brand before their sudden rise to fame, I have to say that their products have suddenly become a lot more interesting I would have expected it! Today’s mask is another one of her 3 steps that focuses on brightening!

VT Cosmetics Vita Light 3-Step All-in-One Mask

What makes this mask special? All three steps are packed with delicious ingredients with ascorbic acid in the top half of the ingredients list along with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, brightening glutathione, vitamin E, madecassoside, and a ton of plant-based ingredients.

The essence and moisturizer look and feel quite similar, as they are both bright orange, creamy, and smell like REAL vitamin C, which is to say, a little medicinal and quite strong. It definitely smells something real here, and if you’re familiar with the real smell of vitamin C, the scent will only bring you comfort, but if you were expecting oranges, I’d adjust your expectations!

I was expecting Essence to be more water-based, but no! It came out like a thick cream, so I knew that following the three steps was going to be VERY intense hydration.

I loved the texture of this mask! Billed as a “gel mask,” it actually feels like a jelly mask, so it was fun to experience and it adhered pretty well to my skin as well.

Mask summary:

Price: $7 CDN

What are you doing: Illuminates and moisturizes intensely.

Scent: The mask itself smells like oranges, but the essence and moisturizer smell more medicinal.

Essence type: Clear and slightly viscous.

Duration: 30 minutes

Thickness: Thin to medium

Mask Fit: Decent with some wrinkles around the chin.

Stickiness: High

Hydration: Intense!

Other notes: I couldn’t sleep on my stomach because I was stuck to the pillow!

Final verdict: I know that this mask, with repeated use, will work over time based solely on the glow of my skin and the smell of steps 1 and 3 LOL! I should have started earlier in the night though, as even after an hour, my skin was still very sticky, which made sleeping a challenge since I sleep on my side. I really liked the ingredients in all three steps, so I want to give this mask another try because I believe in it.
