MAKEUP | Dior Forever Skin Perfect 24H Multi-Use Foundation Stick | Cosmetic Proof

bought by me

It’s been so long since I did a foundation review! Foundation is like skincare for me, but I’ve really been trying to finish what I have as I have a lot of older foundations that don’t even exist anymore, hence the lack of trying something new. Since this is the year of Dior for me, I was paying A LOT of attention when they announced a new multi-use foundation stick! I loved how easy my Basma Beauty Foundation Stick was to use, so I was hoping this new foundation from Dior would be one that I would enjoy just as much.

Available in 18 shades, this foundation provides a natural blurred finish that provides 24-hour hydration and wear. It has buildable coverage, blurs imperfections and evens out the complexion in, I kid you not, 10 seconds! It feels almost imperceptible and has such a lightweight texture that you’ll forget you’re wearing it!

What I love about stick foundations is, firstly, how compact they are and secondly, how easy they are to apply, which is why I opted for this Dior foundation instead of my bottled versions. The texture is creamy and has the coverage of a foundation, but blends effortlessly into the skin like butter! While I typically use sponges, I find this formula works better and faster with a dense foundation brush.

The formula is not pasty and provides a brighter and smoother complexion. While this formula is very buildable, I like a more natural look, so I apply the foundation directly to my face (forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin) and then buff it in with a brush. In the blink of an eye, my face is ready to go! This foundation has a satin finish, but I usually set it with powder for extra hold if I’m working. I have used it without powder and it seemed fine too.

And the most important thing for me is that this foundation lasts all day! There is always a slight breakage around my nose that I have never been able to combat with any foundation, but I am always pleased to see how well this foundation has held up 10-12 hours later!

In terms of comparing this foundation to the one from Basma Beauty that I loved so much, this foundation stick has the look of what we all like about wearing foundation: coverage. The Basma Beauty stick has a slightly more natural finish, while the Dior one has a more “professional” feel that would complement a heavier makeup look. They are both good foundations, but for different reasons and I will happily continue using both.

Final verdict: Love, love, love! I love the ease of use, how quickly it makes my skin look fuzzy and soft, and its cushion-like texture. It blends into the skin so easily that I’m even considering contour stick now and Jayne doesn’t contour!
