A classic Easter gift, who doesn’t love mini eggs? What better way to show the love for these little pieces of heavenly chocolate than to design a nail set around them?
To create these Mini Eggs nails you will need:
Step 1:
Buff the tips of your nails to remove shine or prep your nails (or your clients’) so that no oil or cuticle remains on the nail surface.
Step 2:
Starting with the first tip (or little finger), apply a thin layer of Cherry Blossom (you can choose a different color order if you wish) and cure in your Nailchemy lamp for 30 seconds. Apply the first layer of Daylily to the next tip (or ring finger) and cure for 30 seconds, then apply a thin layer of Hibiscus to the next tip (or middle finger) and cure for 30 seconds, Saltstone to the next tip (or index finger) and cure for 30 seconds, and finally Albertine on the last tip (or thumb) for 30 seconds.
Step 3:
Apply a second coat of each color to the tips of your nails and cure for 30 seconds in your Nailchemy lamp.
Step 4:
Place a small amount of brown craft gel paint (or other brown gel polish) on your mixing palette, ready for the next step.
Step 5:
Using your nail detailer or dotting tool, randomly place the brown craft gel paint over all of your nails, trying to make them look as close to the speckles on the Mini Eggs as possible. Once you are happy with your specks, cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
Step 6:
Now it’s time to finish your design, giving the nails a nice matte finish using the amazing Velvet Matte Top Coat! Cure for 30 seconds in your lamp to seal the design.
