What food establishes when organizing friends? I am a great admirer of the friends who stop, and hang, and the parties of all kinds, but the snacks can sometimes throw me, what is easy but not boring? My hack: King Arthur Baking, our favorite flour company, is a popular focaccia mix kit, and is very simple. This is what I did …
I have always been a focaccia fan. The bread is airy, crispy and makes you feel that you are sitting in the Italian Riviera. I have served the focaccia mixture kits many times, sometimes simple, sometimes with ingredients, all delicious. Once I covered the bread with cinnamon sugar (the children went crazy). Again I went with a tasty combination of roasted broccoli, Ricota and Parmesano.
This week, feeling inspired, I decided to make the Mix Focaccia Kit in two ways: 1. The traditional shape, with olive oil and marine salt, and 2) covered with mobile green castelvetrane olives. The mixture joins in an hour and makes the whole house smell incredible.
Making the focaccia base is surprisingly simple. First, stir the focaccia mixture and yeast in a bowl, then add 1 1/2 cups of hot water and two tablespoons of olive oil. Once everything is mixed, simply let the dough rest, discovered, for 10 minutes. Then, place the dough into a pan covered with olive oil and turn the dough to cover both sides with oil. Then, gently extend it to the borders of the pan. Let the dough increase for another 30 minutes and then rub it with two more tablespoons of olive oil. Finally, use the fingertips for “Hoyisz” the dough. Bake the bread for 20 to 30 minutes and take it with sea salt just after it comes out of the oven. (Here is the complete recipe, if you want to see).
The result? Aerated and chewable bread that you cannot stop eating. Marine salt and olive oil focaccia would be the perfect side for any dinner; And I can’t wait to serve Olive’s version on our next game night. You could combine it with white wine, grapes and cheese for tasty and discreet spread.
What coverage would you add to Focaccia? Any delicious combos? The bread kits of King Arthur Baking have become a basic element in our house, and I cannot recommend them enough. His soft snacks of Pretzel are a great success as a refreshment after school, and pulle-opparting garlic bread is very fun to do. Find all your mixtures here, if you want. Xoxo
