Buying builders cabinets is a mistake, here is why
Buying builders and contractors cabinets may directly seem like a good idea at the beginning. The owners often perceive this as a key operation. However, Main Line Kitchen Design explains why this hurts the owners of housing and other distributors.
These are the 3 main reasons to buy contractors cabinets is a bad idea:
- The builders and contractors do not know so much about the design of the kitchen and the cabinets as the best paid designers who work in the cabinet dealers. The result translates into less professional designs, more errors and longer delays if problems arise.
- Buying builders and contractors cabinets is no less expensive. Because contractors and builders are not configured to process the large number of kitchen orders made by cabinet dealers, they do not have the expert personnel to review and process orders, present claims and deal with the cabinets and their representatives. Less efficiency increases prices and costs the owners more. In addition, contractors and builders also often feel that their customers are not going to buy, so they charge too much for the cabinets they sell.
- Builders and contractors do not offer guarantees. Although a cabinet brand could have a life guarantee, an owner needs a cabinet dealership to process the warranty. The builders usually only honor their projects for a year after the sale. Contractors can be better, but none of those who have heard of honor a guarantee for life. Not to mention that contractors leave the business, retire or move quite frequently.
And if that is not enough!
- The builders and contractors are known to inflate the charges for cabinet updates. For example, the update to the entire construction of plywood or the soft pilot tail drawers is often many times more than the real cost when buying cabinets of a builder. The design of the main line kitchen only sells cabinets with these updates because they are not very expensive and are necessary for viable guarantees.
- Contractors and builders options are very limited: there are many more available options! Cabinet distributors will always take many more brands because that is the business in which we are. For example, the main kitchen design sells 8 different cabinet brands. This ensures Our clients are not forced to the highest price brands when they do not need to be. It also means that we have all the door style, wood species and update that customers need.
- Obsolete style tips. Since contractors and builders do not really sell cabinets and countertops to make a living, and help the hundreds of clients that a typical cabinet dealership will do it every year, their style advice are often outdated and their simplistic suggestions. No one can be an expert in all things; Coordination of cabinets, countertops, splashes, appliances and accessories requires more experience than contractors and builders can offer. Another reason why buying builders and contractors cabinets is not the best for an owner.
Buyer Be careful! The main design of the line kitchen receives several calls every week from home owners seeking to make a guarantee claim on the cabinets that bought contractors and builders.
We also receive calls from people who want to add a cabinet, add moldings or simply buy a retouching kit. Unfortunately, what they did not realize when they originally bought builders cabinets was that their supplier would only be there for sale and would not be there to help them with any future need. The design of the main line kitchen is more affordable, offers more experience and options, and product support while our customers are at home!
Concessionaires simply do not have the ability to help owners who originally bought them.
The design of the main line kitchen will help any client prior to our problem (guarantees, additional cabinets after their renewal has been completed, etc. but we, and our distributors do not support the owners of housing that fell prisoners of pitchers of their builders or contractors.
Again, be careful with the buyer! Here is a link to a relevant blog.
And the Bon appetite!
