We Have Two Beloved Visitors in Brooklyn This Week

Last night, Anton and I sat on the exhausting waiting impatiently for our guests to arrive …

… until my brother Nick and my cousin Jimmy’s son (also known as Anton’s second cousin) arrived from England to spend a week with us in Brooklyn. It is Jimmy’s first time in the United States, and when I asked him what he would like to do: travel in the cyclone in Coney Island? Do you see the view from the Empire State Building? – He sincerely asked me: “Do you have Dunkin donuts?” We do it, Jimmy, we do it.

What fun task to think about how to show a 13 -year -old child around New York: What are the fun activities specifically for preteen? Last night, we asked for pizza and ride bicycles and scooters along the river to the Brooklyn bridge, while the sun set, or, as Jimmy said, as Jimmy said, while The sun placed. My brother also confirmed his “fun uncle” state making wheels and lowering the stairs.

This morning, poor Jimmy woke up at 5 am (Jet delay!), But waited patiently until we all woke up a few hours later. Then we walked to drink bars and take silly photos. Next: buy “coaches” and go to the Yankees game. (Toby is visiting my mother at this time, but they return to New York on Friday for an even greater meeting).

In addition, a flashback:

Jimmy and Anton in Cornwall (Ages of the cousins, from left to right: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8!). They have been masters of mischievous gems from day one.

On Anton’s sixth birthday, and Jimmy was seven years old.

This summer, when Anton turned 12 and Jimmy was 13 years old.

We always love having visitors, especially these two! What about you? What signs to the people of your hometown? In addition, would you like an updated cup of the Jo NYC guide, perhaps one for children, one for teenagers and one for adults?

PD: Our Brooklyn House tour, and all our past trips from England, including the tour of my aunt.
