The Sweetest Baby Shower Idea

Erika Veurink with her husband Christian

This weekend, Toby, Anton and I went to Baby Shower from our friend Erika …

As soon as we entered the restaurant, we realized that Baby Shower would be as elegant and realistic as Erika is. First, the men were invited, so her husband Christian, her father -in -law and her friends mixed among the ladies, and of course I had to bring my two children. They worship Erika because she is fun, friendly and sweet enough to talk about basketball with them; We even went to a game of Liberty together a few months ago.

The sandwiches, the cakes and the grocery store cake (of Wegmans! A two -level cake post offered his favorite childhood cookies: monstrous cookies for Erika and Tarts de Linzer for Christian. The white balloons attacked the roof, and the couple’s own baby photos stopped framed at the tables.

But my favorite part? Erika’s sister, Sarah, had created the most adorable cuts album for the baby.

When I asked him about it, Sarah said it was easy: he had bought a Semikolon visits book and stayed with self -adhesive library pockets. Then, he took the photos of the guests with a mini instant camera and recorded them on each page.

I liked that notes cards had indications, so he immediately obtained ideas about what to write. “I wanted something that resembled a library card,” Sarah told me. “Then, I designed cards in Canva, I print them on cardboard and cut them.”

The boys and I complete our cards. I loved reading his answers: Anton said that the baby’s first book should be Grizzly bear (their own favorite of their baby days) and Toby leveled with The Great Gatsby. My answer? Cupofjo.com, of course.

“We read all the notes last night, only Christian and I,” Erika told me today. “Some were dumb; some were emotional. We both cried.”

How lovely is the idea of the cuts album? What other ideas from Baby Shower have you enjoyed? I loved my motherhood book. XO
