Hello again, friends! I am so excited to catch up. Last weekend, we got home after two weeks visiting the family in Cornwall, England, and seeing friends in Italy (more about that soon). Here are some photos, if you want to see …
Brooklyn’s trip to Cornwall is not a joke: you take a night flight to London, you rent a car and then drive five hours to the southwest to my aunt’s house.
But after all anticipation, entering his town feels spectacular: he drives through rural lanes miles and then broke into the port. This is the view!
Lulu always greets us with drinks, snacks and big smiles.

Anton met with his lost cousin Jimmy a long time ago, who is his English doppelgänger. They are like small twin souls, jump into the water, eat fries of salt and vinegar and make mischief. (Here is a photo of them six years ago).

And Toby finally reached his cousin of the same age. (Here is a sweet presentation of slides of them over the years).
On the wall high, babies, young children and children drag slowly, but teenagers begin to shoot four inches every year. My sister’s late husband, Paul, also marked her height in the morning and night to show that people shorten during the day.
Meanwhile, Lulu’s dog, Jane, seemed surprisingly immutable for all chaos.
In the days when it does not rain (it is still England, after all), we take the small boat to the ocean, where you can see jellyfish if you look on the one hand.
The children swam from the rocks to the boat.
And my dad was bitten I didn’t care when I told him that the shoes on the ship are really very great at this time!

The lunches were of the variety of crushing and clarifying …
… or we would get fish and french fries and soft peas on the pub.
We also played a lot of fish. (What other classic card games do you like? Forever looking for Rec).
One afternoon, Julia Bird, of fame of seaweed, stopped at Lulu’s house, since she lives in the same city. I was so happy to meet her! After chatting about work, children and marriage, he said: “Well, I need to walk the dog and swim, so I’m going to love and leave you.” How sweet is that writing?

One night, since the sky does not get dark until 10 pm, I stayed in bed, I looked at the water, and I thought how many times we have come to Cornwall, since I was seven years old. We have missed some summers here and there, when the money was tight, or when I had babies or during quarantine, but in general these annual visits have felt like a beat in our lives. We moved a lot when we were growing, but the yellow house of my grandparents was always there, every year, exactly the same. While I wrote this publication, I was thinking about how there is not much to inform, but then I realized, that’s the point. They are wet cousins and costumes and fishing and half avocado lines in the refrigerator.
The only capture was a stomach insect that went through the group, or, as Toby called it, “the disease.” Us almost I escaped unharmed, until we returned to London and caught him from my brother. But every adventure has some ups and downs, right? That is what makes it a family vacation.
