Lunch ideas packed for teenagers

Sharing some of my favorite ideas for the lunchbox for teenagers!

Hello friends! How are you? I hope you are having a beautiful morning so far. I have packed this week with podcast interviews and customer calls, here we will go, because the pilot is at home and can take care of home education tasks.

For today’s publication, I wanted to share some lonco ideas for teenagers. I do the girls of the girls every day, and I love to assemble them. The Liv School offers hot lunch, which is to carry from different fast food restaurants, but it is very expensive (like $ 20 for chick-fil-a) and do not even keep the food hot before serving the children. So, for quality and costs, I still do your food here at home.

Last year, sometimes the Liv lunchbox opened to wash it, and would still be sitting here.

“Why didn’t you lunch? Are you not hungry at lunchtime?”

“I am a little hungry, but sometimes I don’t want a bael or a sandwich … I would love a meal.”

“A meal? What do you mean?”

“Like ramen, chicken, salad or something.”

This flew my mind. He was still packing his “lunch for young children.” They don’t get meling, they still looked good and had many tasty and healthy components, but I wanted real food instead of a Bagel or Pb & J. It was a great moment of bulb for me because I would feel the same. I do not like to eat the same cold things every day, and for lunch, I often prefer a * food * instead of a Bael or Pb & J.

[And for the friends out there who might be wondering why she didn’t pack her own lunch, she was dancing 10+ hours a week last year across town and had hours of homework each night. It’s also one of those things that I’m happy to do for them – I enjoy it!]

I began to ask for ideas for lunch and take her at Costco and Whole Foods with me to choose things that look good for her. Now I make * meals * for lunch that are still as fast as making a Pb & J or Bagel, but they are more satisfactory and pleasant.

These are some of the things that are in the rotation:

Lunch ideas packed for adolescent

Main course:

Salad paste

This is the best pasta salad in the world and you can do it in advance to enjoy throughout the week.

Chopped salad with homemade dressing

Liv loves a chopped salad and generally add different types of vegetables, a protein (such as excess chicken or turkey of delicatessen), chickpeas, edamame, artichokes or asparagus, grated cheese, olives, vegetables and a homemade dressing.

Jennifer Aniston salad

We all love this salad and it is very easy to pack for lunch with grilled chicken at the top.

Egg jaws

These can also be done in advance and freeze. We all love these Mediterranean egg bites or these starbucks imitation egg bites.

Mediterranean egg mouths (gluten -free and milk)Mediterranean egg mouths (gluten -free and milk)

Ramen or bulldok

He loves the ramen and does not mind eating it cold/ambient temperature, so I will do it the night before and keep it in a glass container.

Grilled chicken with sauces and rice

I will often prepare chicken or meatballs and pack them at your lunch with ranch or barbecue sauce to immerse yourself.

Ravioli with olive oil and grated cheese at the top

Concern the Ravioli, sprinkle the olive oil at the top and the grated Reggiano Parmegian.

Pizza

It is so easy to wrap and pack a pair of pizza pieces.

Leftovers

It’s fun because I used to hate leftovers when I was a child, but the girls love them. Sometimes, after dinner, I will ask Liv what I can pack to lunch and she asked him if we have leftovers of our food. If we do, I packed them to go. Things like lasagna, enchiladas, papusas, chili or ground meat, and sauteed are options that you wanted to pack and take for lunch.

Greek bowls with pita bread

Rice, chicken, hummus, Greek salad, grapes and pita leaves

Sides:

Homemade Energy Balls

Fruit

I will wash, cut and prepare a ton of fruits for the week, since we all love to eat it. In general, I buy what is in season, so lately it has been berries (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries), grapes, some types of melon and a pineapple. Soak the berries in vinegar and water for 2-5 minutes and let them dry completely before storing in glass containers. Also peak the melon and pineapple and keep in glass containers.

Spasmodic

Chips-Boulder, Seven or Jackson are the go-to, but also loves Taki’s on occasions or Trader Joe Taki

Fruit strips or dried fruits

Poshi vegetable packages

Sliced vegetables with hummus

Cheese

Yogurt with fruit at the top

Homemade cookies, brownies, bars or some chocolate for dessert

I am trying to reduce the amount of Pacakged snacks that we buy, but we still have snack things and basic pantry products in Thrive Market < - My link saves him 40% in his first order.

So, tell me, friends: what do you like to eat your teenagers for lunch? How is the situation of hot lunch at your school?

In Liv preschool in San Diego, they had the best hot lunch options. You could ask Sushi (!), Acai bowls, Césares salads, soups, sandwiches, was ridiculous.

XO

Gina

Re -try it later
