LIFESTYLE | Sticker by Number Art with Pixyls (Another Instagram Ad I Fell For) | Cosmetic Proof

If you follow me on Instagram, you may know a new hobby that I had at the end of last year called Pixils. This is a quite new Canadian company founded by Rachel Curwen and I was recommended as an Instagram ad! I was intrigued and investigated it immediately and was even more convinced to try it when I saw that Pixyls was based on ontarium!

Essentially, this is an art label of pixels, where you get a blank canvas with small squares of approximately 2 mm x 2 mm that are numbered and a corresponding leaf of high quality thick vinyl stickers to create your art. You will need very thin tweezers to collect each square vinyl sticker to place it and place it on the cardboard canvas. When my husband saw me doing this, he thought that this was his own personal hell and I can see that, but this is the kind of things I love and the work of art is original by artists who are most important for their work.

From what I have seen, there are launches several times every quarter, so there will always be projects to work, since the pixyls make large and small canvases, stickers, acrylic supports, markers and keys. This ornament was the first acrylic piece I made and was a limited edition release for the holidays.

Recently they have discontinued individual stickers like these, but it is also fun to do if you don’t feel like sitting and make a complete canvas for hours. A sticker like this has been just under an hour (unless his hand rises from the tweezers!). The small pixels are on the right side, so everything on a sheet makes it convenient. Whenever I finished, I cut the pixels and keep my stickers in a pixyls stickerbook! Individual stickers ranged at a price of $ 6- $ 10 cdn, but there was a discount if it included certain amounts.

Pixyls also makes a series of collectible cards with these small wrists every season in a set of three cards. All these are made by an artist named Neapa and even have names and background stories that occur in high quality cardboard.

The second type of collectible cards are Mypixelcreads created by an artist named Scarloxy and I have to say that creatures are always very creative! Some of the Halloween are scary! Lol These cards are like mini canvases and, although they take me a few hours, they are deliciously fun while sitting on my desk watching YouTube videos after a job before bedtime. Sometimes I reason too much and end up prolonging a lot of time in the early hours of the morning!

The newest launch last May of Pixyls is Vexils. This is the same idea, except that the stickers are not small squares, but in any form! They are like a wrapping role in terms of the patterns and I hope we can make scenes in their place, but so far the Vexyls have also been fun! I recently completed the Ramen noodle bowl Up and I just finished the FLOWER COLLAGE IN PAPER below. The canvases cost $ 24 CDN each and if they are too large and prefers to do something smaller, the same designs are available in a marker for $ 14 CDN each.

These are the thematic stickers leaves that I think are my favorites and I thought you can remove the stickers from the leaf to place in laptops, daily, etc., I love to leave them on the sheet that I know is a bit silly, but I love the way the stickers are already organized! The sticker sheet has between $ 10- $ 20 CDN depending on the size and number of pixyls.

This Wizards Pocons Decajanías leaf came as a package of two and my God, it was very fun to see that the colors of the potions come alive! I sent this to the monthly Pixyls contest and was one of the winners!

If you want to stretch your brain a little or at least, strangers look at the bus with educated curiosity, get the puzzle books pixyls! I had to look for the instructions, but if you like Sudoku, these are “in the same family.” There are currently three animal books and are fun to do if they feel like thinking hahaha.

I do not make many Pixyl magnets, so this parrot was the first one I tried and it was nice! However, I prefer stickers and canvases more.

These two canvases are the largest pieces that I have completed and took a long time. As weeks to do in small sections because some days I was not humorous to sit and clear the table to do this, but they look incredible when they have finished!

This hobby has surpassed the Lego mainly because I have so much Lego now that I cannot build new things due to the lack of space. At least with pixyls, I can place everything flat! There are some things that we want to frame as the first photo. Cat Lover which is a small canvas at 6in x 6 inches that I just completed last week. If you like diamond painting, pixyls could be a new funny hobby to try! I like to have fewer things compared to diamond paint where you have to have all your trays with diamonds and be prepared to change color and such. Pixyls is quite compact, so I hope some of you have the opportunity to try this lovely Canadian craft company. I also put my sister, so now we both share every time we complete something.
