When my now teenager was very small, maybe 18 months, I was traveling in our shopping cart in the groceries and a lady leaned to greet, approaching * very * to her face. He blinked and withdrew surprised … A normal reflection when someone goes up to your personal space, I thought. But she turned to me and told me “Your baby is not very pleasant!”
