During Sunday’s episode (July 6) Love Island USAIt was announced that Close “He has left the village due to a personal situation.” CloseThe exit occurs after a racist publication of their social networks resurfaced online and fans asked for their dismissal.

After the episode was issued, CloseThe family of the family issued a statement on their Instagram account that addresses the situation.

Keep reading for more information …“As the parents closed, this has been one of the most painful weeks of our lives,” the statement began. “We have seen the publications, the headlines, the pain and the hate. And although it closes it has not seen any of that, we have. And also the people who love it.”

They continued: “We are not here to justify or ignore what arose. We understand why people are annoying, and we know that matters of responsibility. But what is happening in line at this time has gone far beyond that. Threats. The cruel messages. The attacks against their family, their friends, even their supporters, is heartbreaking. They are not done for.

“While closes is no longer in the town, it’s still out,” CloseThe family wrote. “She has not had the opportunity to process any of this or speak for herself. But we know our daughter. We know her heart. And when she returns, we believe that she will face this with honesty, growth and grace. While she will always be our little girl, she is also a woman, one who will assume responsibility in her own time and her own voice.”

“Until then, we are simply asking for compassion. For patience. For basic human decency. Not only for her, but for all those trapped in the middle of this,” the statement concluded. “Thanks to those who have continued to show love, even when it is not easy. With love, your family.”

CloseThe Instagram has been deactivated since then.

Earlier this season, another contestant was withdrawn from the program after his past racist comments also resurfaced.
