How to Create a Mandala Nail – Nailchemy Limited

How to Create a Mandala Nail – Nailchemy Limited

To recreate this nail you will need:

**About stippling tools**

Every time you place a dot, the dot gets smaller. If you want consistent sized dots, you will need to load the dotting tool with gel polish for each dot.

Make sure your work surface is clean and you have gloves on.

Step 1

Apply a thin layer of Onyx to the nail and cure for 30 seconds.

Step 2

Apply a second thin coat of Onyx and cure for 30 seconds.

Step 3

Align your point tools from smallest to largest.

Using your larger dotting tool, place a honeysuckle dot on the top right and bottom left quarters. (Be sure to leave space around them to add points!)

Using your second smaller dotting tool, with Apple Blossom dot 6 or 7 dots around the first two dots. (the number depends on the size of the tools you are using and how you space the points)

Quickly heals for 10 seconds.

To make it easier to see the pattern, the sequence is shown on paper. This is the same sequence used around both Honeysuckle points.

Use your smaller dotting tool to place Cornflower dots over the center of the spaces between the Apple Blossom dots in the previous step.

Use the smallest or second smallest dotting tool (depending on spacing) to add Orchid dots directly on top of the Cornflower dots from the previous step.

Quickly heals for 10 seconds.

Using your second largest dotting tool, place the Tulip dots between the Orchid dots.

Quickly heals for 10 seconds.

If you have enough room left on the tip of your nail, use Carnation with the dotting tool to make a swirl along the nail.

Place the first dot on the edge of the nail and work towards the center without adding more gel polish. (Each subsequent point becomes smaller.) Then knit from the opposite side towards the center.

Cure for 30 seconds.

Step 4

Cover with Velvet Matte and cure for 30 seconds.

Your Going Dotty Mandala nail is now complete!
