Barcelona Adventures – The Fitnessista

Sharing some of our favorite adventures from Barcelona.

Hello friends! How are you? I hope your week has had an incredible start! We are here in Seville enjoying the beautiful views, shopping, delicious food and some tourist things. It has been the perfect combination of relaxed activities and time. I hope your summer also goes well so far.

For today’s publication, I wanted to share some adventures in Barcelona + where we stayed if you plan to reserve a trip. We could spend some nights before and after Disney’s cruise and fell in love with Barcelona. Of course, it has the beautiful mixture of architecture, from iconic Gaudi designs to more modern styles, Gothic cathedrals and Roman ruins. He also has the feeling of a giant city (because he is a hahaha) with many things to see and do. We could easily have spent a few weeks there, and these are some of the most prominent aspects of our trip.

Adventures of Barcelona

Swallow in Barcelona

The food in Barcelona is 100%. He put it at the height of Rome and impressed us with so many restaurants that we tried. They use many ingredients and fresh products, it is well seasoned, the portions are perfect (especially if you like to share), and allergens are often clearly marked.

Flower meadow

This was our first meal in Barcelona and definitely launched us with the right foot. I yearned for a summer red (red wine with citrus spritzer, like a bleeding but less sweet) and Spanish omelette. The girls and I share enough different things: chicken skewers, Greek salad, sardines and tortilla. P also obtained a hamburger and it was perfection.

Gluten -free food tour

I have a complete publication about this experience, but we had the opportunity to try six different points with tons of gluten -free options. I had never had a Croissant full of Nutella and put my free soul. This was probably on the list of the 10 best things I have eaten. Barcelona has so many gluten -free options and gluten -free kitchens. Our guide told us that it is one of the best places to travel and live if it has a celiac or is sensitive to gluten/intolerant.

Sasha Bloome

This is a completely gluten -free brunch place with pancakes, avocado toas, bowls and cakes, using organic and fresh ingredients. I would eat here weekly if we lived in Barcelona. They have a couple of locations, so if you are planning a visit, I definitely recommend checking it.

Bars bars

This was close to our hotel and had excellent criticism and Spanish omelette in the menu, I was on a mission to find the best haha, and we went and shared a lot of tapas one night. The tortilla had truffle oil (OMMMGGG) and the cheese dish was exquisite.

Roots and rolls

One of the most prominent aspects of our trip was to see my friend Sara! We used to teach together in Canyon Ranch and we have remained in contact despite the movements throughout the country. OG blog friends would recognize it from our video soli beat, blog training videos and summer form! She is absolutely incredible, one of the most positive people I know and I love any possibility that we have to catch up.

We met her and her husband for an incredible vegan sushi, gluten -free options, ramen, pad Thai, etc. The food was excellent and the company was the best part 🙂

If you live in Barcelona or visit, she owns the first stretching study assisted in Spain: Stretch Eden.

Recommendations at the Barcelona Hotel

We stayed in two different hotels in Barcelona: Royal Ramblas before the cruise and the roommate Carla after the cruise.

(I had the hotel gym for me)

It was nice because they were the girls and I, so we ended up having our own bed in each place. It is worth mentioning here that I almost always reserve our hotels for free using credit card points. We use our Amyx Platinum for everything, and gives us many advantages, such as living room access, purchasing loans, return points for daily purchases, credits for its fine hotels collection, Uber credits: I love this. If you are interested in obtaining one, my reference link is here and I am happy to help with any question. More about how we use points to travel in this publication.

Activities

There are many different tours and places to visit in Barcelona, including the famous Boquat de Mercaria, La Sagrada Familia, tons of museums and beautiful beaches. I would have loved to have a museum day, but the children roasted after the cruise. (I am a bit annoying because we lost our sacred family tour, but we will definitely return!) Compamos, we visit some different markets, we explore the exterior of Sagrada Familia,

And he arrived at the White Rabbit Museum, which was a great success.

The white rabbit combines Catalan culture with immersive experiences, which include projection rooms, virtual reality, lights and sculptures. If you have children and travel to Barcelona, I strongly recommend it.

Is Barcelona safe?

Our taxi driver warned us about the portero and told us what areas to avoid, but I never felt insecure while we were there. I felt much safer than in many parts of the United States and I think anything, it is about being aware of their environment and staying where other people are. Stay in well -lit and quite populated areas, know where you go and keep your belongings near you. (I have been using this practice Amazon bag this trip).

The objective of this exploration trip in which we have been

I entered this trip with the intention of spending quality time with the children, seeing new places and taking time to completely recharge after a rather exhausting start for 2025. I also started this trip looking for … a place to live. I felt that it could be clarity with * a perfect place * and Barcelona has been the closest. It has the great feeling of the city we love (tons of purchases, convenient, so many gluten -free options and fantastic meals), but with smaller charming neighborhood pockets. We especially liked the graceful neighborhood. I don’t know if more from Tucson, but we have been considering different options and keeping our eyes open. 🙂

Have you been in Barcelona? What is your favorite place #1 to travel in summer?

Xoxo

Gina
