Last night, I was lucky to chat with my friend of Adam Roberts food about his new and fun novel, and I laughed a million times …
We met at the Brooklyn Heights library, which was brilliant and busy (that feels so good in the day and age!).
When we entered the room, we saw this table stacked with Adam’s debut novel, Food Person. His manner comedy follows an unemployed food writer, Isabella, who agrees to write a kitchen book for a star who behaved with the hope of reviving her career and reputation. The writing is hilarious and reflective, and how big is that cover?
Adam’s husband, Craig (left) was one of the first to arrive, gasping after running three different branches from the library, we all loved Adam’s shirt with embroidery dinner ingredients.
It was also a pleasure to meet Jenny Jackson, editor of Adam and Editor Assistant Tiara Sharma.
More people pours in the room, including our beloved Jenny (who had just obtained a new haircut!).
We have written publications about what we have seen to the people who use in New York and Paris. As for a micro trend report at the Brooklyn Heights library in Cadman Plaza? Gingham! (Here is a similar Gingham skirt, and a similar skirt of Gingham Gingham and a polka dot skirt).
After everyone sat, Adam and I took the stage! It was a joy to chat about books, food, marriage, all things.
