A couple of weeks ago, Freddie and I went to the house of our friend Adam for dinner …
Adam made delicious pasta with beans and tomatoes.
We drank wine and talked about movies, books and children.
And Adam Winston’s dog looked very sweet among chaos.
But the best part? After finishing dinner, Adam took cookies from hot chocolate sparks from the oven! “I make this dough the day before,” he told me. “Then I take tablespoons on a sheet lined with parchment, flattened them, sprinkle with sea salt and keep in the refrigerator during the night. While serving the dinner, the oven precedes the oven at 350 degrees and I do them. After about 15 minutes, I take them out and serve them hot.”
How delicious is that? The freshly baked cookies felt so special, as if we were young children again. “You simply eat them and you feel happy,” says Adam, and is right.
What do you like to serve for dessert? Any recipe for favorite cookies? In addition, Adam and I will talk on the stage about his wonderful new novel, Food Person, on May 20 in the Brooklyn Public Library, Unique us!
PD: Three strategic entrants for a dinner, the best host gift and a fun conversation incoming.
