Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful morning. Today I am sharing a complete review of the new Great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale! It is a super fun and friendly complex for children who will love the whole family! Let’s take a look at this review to see what we think so you can see if it would be a cow that your family would like!

We spend 3 days and 2 nights in the new Great Wolf Lodge, which is basically the dream of a child reality. The girls lost their heads! I had seen some publications about Great Wolf Lodge over the years and was finally excited to take the crew. When I discovered this summer that we were getting one, I reserved our rooms on the first day that opened the system for reservations. The site was blocked several times during the process. I could hook a room for the end of the month, which ended up being its great inauguration weekend. The room rates were really fair, and I was happy to pay them.

Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale Review

Great Wolf Lodge is a family complex with a vibes of “bonfire” of Lodge. The two pets of Wolf, Wiley and Violet, and other characters, walk through the property by photographs, and have enough fun services.

Activities at Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale

I was quite impressed by the amount of activities offered on the site. They have a mini golf area, gold panoramic, a mines exploration activity, a covered string field, a mini bowling, a rock climbing wall and a complete interior aquatic park. The aquatic park is controlled by climate at 86 degrees throughout the year and has several slides, a slow river, a wave pool, a giant pad and a small baby/child area.

Within the complex, they also have a Build-A-Bear workshop, an area for children (where they offer child care), a sweet and magiquest store.

Magiquest ended up being one of the greatest successes with children. It is an interior treasure search with magical wands (which you buy for around $ 20). You pay $ 15 additional to participate in the magicest game, already measure that you find different points throughout the property, they are marked with a little green leaf, you move your wand in the object and something will happen.

It can be somewhat small, like an image on the wall, it will light or do something quite intense, such as the giant animatronic dragon that will come alive. You have to follow a “Search path”collect different runes and objects, and fight different characters on the screens throughout the property, and can become a very involved game. This part was really magical and the children everywhere ran by stirring their wands to several objects, then they went to the portal to see what they needed to do next. It was very Harry Potter.

On Saturday morning, the girls and I went to the road quite early and we made the trip fast to Scottsdale. We registered at the hotel, where the girls received beautiful lobo ears,

And since our room was not ready, we spent an hour in the Arcade, which is conveniently open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 🙂 I managed to earn lazy stuffed for each of them from one of the claw machines and were quite pumped.

We registered in our rooms and take dinner at the scene before addressing the water park. We spent a few hours jumping in the waves, and playing on the splash pad, and the girls set up the slides until the time of bed spent. The pilot entered the room when we all crashed, and spend the following days alternating between the aquatic park and internal activities. It was a great family stay and the perfect way to celebrate the end of the airline training.

The pros

The activities. I was surprised how many of the activities were included with the cost of staying in the property. The aquatic park was included, where we spend hours every day, and also offer a daily schedule with several activities at the time. These include characters, faces paint, stories schedule, a dance party with the wolves, bingo, etc. Some of the other activities were an additional purchase, such as bowling, the rope course, the gold panorama, the rock wall, etc. I did not find that prices were not reasonable for what they offered. You can buy a wolf pass for each child that includes everything, but I wasn’t sure how much we would really do, so I opted for him.

The aquatic park. The girls loved the aquatic park and literally spent hours here. There was a lot for each of them, and I think it is perfect for babies to teenagers.

The cons

The food. The food was too expensive and horrible. In general, we love hotel food, girls have a serious obsession with the room service, and we can easily find something we all love. That was not the case at all here. Even if you compare it with Disney food, it is also too expensive, but at least it is good food and have tons of options. I found that the options are very limited, not very healthy/fresh and faces. I will say that the fries were great, but you cannot live with french fries for 3 days. 😉 (Liv even said that the pizza was disgusting, that he had never heard her say before).

Here are the saddest tacos that you will see in your life. They were called “Tacos of fajita vegetables” that were in very small tortillas, full of peak sauce and one or two pepper slices in each taco.

We are in Arizona. We do the tacos well and this was just an abomination.

Great Wolf Lodge was still working on some of the problems since he has just opened. It was not unusual to try something (such as an vending machine or a drink machine) to discover that it was broken. We also find that the rooms are clinical. The comforter had a half inch thick. I have the worst moment of sleeping when I feel that the blanket is just a sheet. So I take bath towels and cover myself in towels hahaha. They also had a smoke detector in the room that showed a super brilliant light every 10 seconds. We do not sleep very well the first night.

What is close?

The good news is that the preparation and the dough, the fashion square and more are only 12 minutes. There are also so many incredible gastronomic options near. You can’t deny that Scottsdale has a lot of wonderful food. So I think it is worth getting out of the property for real meals and simply depending on the Great Wolf Lodge for snacks and fast snacks. (Some of my recs: Olive & Ivy, true food kitchen, child flower for lunch, white tacos and butter).

Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale is very conveniently located near a variety of attractions that make it a perfect basis for family fun. A short distance by car, you can explore the Desert Ridge market to buy and dinner, or take a look at the underwater world in the Odysea Aquarium. For those who seek to enjoy some nature, Pinnacle Peak Park has many impressive and picturesque hiking routes with impressive desert views.

How does Great Wolf Lodge compare with Disney?

They are completely different animals. (<-Ves what I did there?) Disney is such a well-greased machine and works without problems and efficiently, with many magical touches at all times. Obviously, it has existed for a long time, and any initial problem has been well solved.

Great Wolf Lodge is not trying to be Disney, and what they do is very fun and they do it well. But it is simply not the same type of experience. I mean, we still have an absolutely wonderful moment, but it is not one of those places where we are like “My God, I can’t wait to go again”. However, in general, I think it was worth it. I am sure that the girls will want to return at some point. I recommend it, even once. It is still a great experience.
