When my mother visited him recently …
… she and Anton prepared a delicious dinner: the Parmesan chicken of Ina Garten. Basically, you cover the chicken breasts with flour, eggs, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese; Then jump and cover with lemon salad vegetables.
The chicken was delicious and easy for the children and I made some nights again after my mother returned to Michigan. (We served here with mashed potatoes and green beans, but the chicken and salad would be enough for themselves, if I wanted to keep it simple).
A few days later, Anton, Toby and I made rice and beans, in addition to a lot of ingredients: red peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, corn, roasted chicken, crushed taco peels, cheddar cheese, sour cream and spicy sauce. We increased everything in bowls and ate together on the couch. “Mom, you must pat at the back for this dinner,” Toby said, while Anton loaded his third aid. In general, a collenador!
I have always bothered to be a bad cook, and it is true that I am not great, but I can Do some things reliably. Here are five things in our rotation:
Coconut and rice chicken (we put aside the chicken broth so that it is more like curry and less as soup)
Parm chicken meatballs
Paste with broccoli pest
Tuna melts
Tacos crumbs
Bonus: Anything, say, a frozen pizza, roasted chicken or spaghetti with tomato sauce, along with a Caesar salad (my children Wolf this).
So, I would love to know: What are the five recipes you have in your arsenal? Does that always work out? What do you even know by heart? Please share below …
PD: bad cook, great mom; and nine family meals that we have loved.
