Books I have read lately – The Fitnessista

Share a summary of the books that I have read lately and if it is worth adding to your collection.

Hello friends! How are you? I hope you are having a beautiful morning!

We have been enjoying all the adventures of Seville, go to bed at least midnight in every May and then sleeping every day. Es.been.amazing. I have managed to pass a little reading before bedtime and I have gone through four books. Two were horrible, and two were excellent. I am sharing summaries below and I would love to hear what you have been enjoying this summer!

Books that I have read lately

THE ORIPHAN OF THE WARSOVIA By Kelly Rimmer

This destroyed me absolutely. He is set in World War II and follows a teenager who begins to contraband Jewish children outside the ghetto. The writing is beautiful, and although the theme is heavy, it is the type of book that stays with you long after you finish it. I recommend it if he is in humor for something emotional and powerful. 9/10

From Amazon:

In the spring of 1942, the young Elzbieta Rabinek is aware of the rapid and growing discord beyond the patio of her comfortable Warsaw house. She has no love for the Germans who patrol their streets and impose their touches of curm, but has never thought much about what happens behind the walls that contain their Jewish neighbors. She knows very well about German brutality, and that is why she must hide her true identity. But when making friends with Sara, a nurse who shares her apartment floor, Elzbieta makes a discovery that drives her to a dangerous world of deception and heroism.

The use of Sara’s credentials to get the children from Gueto del Gueto leads Elzbieta face to face with the reality of the war behind her walls, and the difficult situation of the Gorka family, who must make the impossible decision to give up her newborn daughter or see her hunger. For Roman Gorka, this final injustice takes him to the rebellion with a zeal, not even his new love for Elzbieta can suppress. But his imprudence attracts unwanted attention to Sara’s cause, putting Elzbieta and his family in danger until a violent act threats to destroy his opportunity for freedom forever.

At the same time next summer By Annabel Monaghan

The main character is about to marry what seems to be the * perfect man * but meets his old boyfriend (who broke his heart years ago). The sparks begin to fly again and ends up being “what could have been” energy with one side of family dynamics and summer nostalgia. I loved the idea of this romantic book of the second chance and the author is wonderful (Nora leaves the script is one of my favorite beach readings), but this was boring and slow to me. I had to force myself to finish it. 2/10

From Amazon:

Sam’s life is on his way. She has the perfect medical doctor, Jack (her strict routines are something good, actually), a great job in Manhattan (unless they fire her) and is about to tour a wedding place near the beach house of Long Island of her family. Everything should go as planned, however, at the time it arrives, Sam feels that something is wrong. Wyatt is here. Your Wyatt. But there is no reason for a woman committed to thirty years to panic in the guy who broke her heart when she was seventeen. Good?

However, being back on this beach, listening to Wyatt guitar notes floating through the air of the night from the door side as if time had not passed: Sam’s memories flood: the sensation of Wyatt’s skin in his, his nights at the tree’s house and the truth behind his division. Sam remembers who used to be, and as Wyatt re -enters his life, his connection is as undeniable as it always was. She will have to make a decision.

The people of the wedding By Alison Espach

This is super popular, and I found it totally chaotic. A woman appears in an elegant hotel and ends up being wrapped in “wedding people” who have taken care of the property for a whole week. This was really different from everything I have read lately, but that was not necessarily good. I was still waiting for a great relay or moment, and this was simply flat for me. The end did not even compensate for the work of a reading. 2/10

From Amazon:

It is a beautiful day in Newport, Rhode Island, when Phoebe Stone arrives at the Grand Cornwall Inn with a green dress and gold heels, not a bag in sight, alone. He is immediately wrong with everyone in the lobby of one of the people of the wedding, but in reality she is the only guest in Cornwall who is not here for the great event. Phoebe is here because she has dreamed of coming for years: she hoped to tear oysters and take sunset with her husband, only now she is here without him, in Rock Bottom, and decided to have a last decadent waste of herself. Meanwhile, the bride has explained every detail and every possible disaster on the weekend could produce, except, well, the Phoebe and Phoebe plan, which makes it much more surprising when the two women cannot stop confiscating each other.

In turn, absurdly fun and devastatingly tender, the people of Alison Espach’s wedding are ultimately an incredibly nuanced and resonant look to the winding roads that we can take in places that we never imagine, and casual encounters are sometimes needed to redirect.

For the love of friends By Sara Goodman Confino

This was funny, what I expected because all SGC books literally make me hahaha. A woman agrees to be a lady of honor at five weddings (why?), And begins to blog anonymously about all ridiculous things that happen along the way. Think in moments of Brádezilla, ugly dresses, a lot of juicy drama. It was a fun and light reading that still had some deeper mixed moments. It was just what I was looking for in a vacancies reading and I loved it. 9/10

From Amazon:

Lily Weiss is her mother’s worst nightmare: Thirty -two years: Horror! She is also a talented writer, but hides behind a boring job in a science foundation. For his friends, he is reliable and selfless, this is how an honor lady ends at five weddings in six weeks. Anything for his three best friends and two brothers (younger), right? Even if your own love life is … well, I would prefer not to talk about it. To maintain your sanity, Lily needs a safe place to vent.

And so his anonymous blog, Bridesmania. The publications begin to get out of it: all the sensations about the mother-mamm. Destiny of his brother.

Until now, the blog has remained anonymous. But as everyone knows, few things online remain secret forever …

When everything is said and done, can Lily help the five couples to arrive happily forever? And your own happy ending will be very close?

OK, friends: An excellent vacancies reading that you would recommend? Any classic that has read again with time?

Xoxo

Gina
