Sharing my 10 best advice and advice from Disney Cruise if it’s your first cruise!
Hello friends! How are you? I hope you are having an incredible morning. We are in part 1 of Harneys Take Europe during the summer, and we are starting the party with our sixth Disney cruise. I will share all the details when we return, but for today’s publication, I wanted to share some of my best Disney cruise tips of all time, especially if you are a first half.
My 10 best tips and tricks of Disney Cruise
So this is Disney Cruise #6 for a reason; The whole family makes them a long time. TBH, I was always a little about the idea of navigating. Something about a group of university party children on spring holidays and casinos vibrations did not look like an ideal family vacation, especially when the girls were very young. I am also a little scared to be in the ocean.
Our friends told us how much they loved Disney, especially for cleaning, food and entertainment, so we decided to try. Needless to say we were impressed and we have made at least one Disney cruise per year since then.
Now that we have some experience in our credit, I am sure to share some tips that made us useful as newbies, or that we have learned along the way. I feel that I could write a complete series at this time, but here are my best tips!
Pack a separate pool bag with a change of clothes when registered.
They take their luggage upon arrival, and appears magically in their room in a few hours. Meanwhile, carry your billiard bag and go to the pool! It is the least busy that it will be the whole trip, and all the casual meals of the pool cover are also open. It is very fun to see the children do the slide and hang out in the pool while enjoying a buffet lunch or some tacos + drinks of the day.
Order your coffee the night before
If you like to drink coffee in the morning, ask it through the room service at night. It reaches a jug and stays hot all night. They also have a small refrigerator where you can store cream. The room service is insufficient, you simply have to tip. I will usually bring some cash for service tips.
Gastronomic rotation
Each ship has about three main restaurants and you will turn every night. You will be assigned early dinners (generally 5:45) or late dinners (8:15) and will have the same server and assistant every night. If you are not having dinner at the main restaurants, there is a Broadway-The quality show that it can attend during the opposite time (for example, late diners attend the early show and then go to dinner). Or you can omit the show, omit the main dining room, order the room service or take a quick bite, and go to the pool to watch a movie and swim. One night we skip the main food and the show, and the children set up the water slide like 19 times.
In the dining room, you can ask for what you want in the menu. Do you want a meal that is all snacks? Do you want to try each dessert? Do you want two lobster tails? Live your best life. They are also incredible with allergies and dietary requirements. When I told them that it was gluten free (something that I avoid for health reasons, not an allergy), had gluten -free rolls that were waiting for me every night.
Room service secrets
With how many cruises have we made, I have never seen an official room service menu. I know they have things like mickey ice cream bars, milk and cookies, macaroni with cheese, pizza, chicken tenders, etc. I called and asked for a salmon salad once and the assistant laughed hahaha. But there are some secrets: they have a cake or cake of the day (ask them what flavor is available) and cheese tables (you can ask for gluten -free cookies).
The application is your friend
The Disney Cruise application is actually quite surprising. You can track all your plans and excursions, send messages to friends and family through the application, and consult the Daily Navigator, which has the schedule and location for the activities of the day. They have many things that happen every day on the ship: movies, characters of characters, dance parties, trivia, karaoke, bingo, folding letters of towels, etc. You can also reserve additional things such as wine tasting, whiskey tasting, spa and dinner services only for adults.
Bring an emerging shock and wear some laundry pods with you
(If you plan to wash clothes)
Always Laundy on the last day on the ship. It is very depressing to bring home a suitcase full of clean clothes that dirty clothes. The laundry room is incredible (especially in desire; it is huge) and the application will alert it when it is time to change its machine.
Decorate your door
I didn’t know how big this was, but many families decorate their doors. It is super fun to customize them. Etsy has many great magnets and, although you don’t have to go on the top (some families do it totally, and I love seeing it), children enjoy it.
Get a cube of corn popcorn if you want corn palomites
We bought a cube of corn popcorn the first day (it costs around $ 13) and while on the ship, you can fill your corn popcorn for around $ 3.00. Children love to take it to shows with us and Disney corn popcorn are just a +++++.
Tips / tips for a Disney cruise
The only time you need to provide during the cruise is when you request the room service, and at the end of the cruise. On the last full day, they provide small envelopes for your server, assistant server, cabin host, etc. The amount they estimate for each person who has helped during their stay varies depends on how many people at their party. The exact amount has changed, but for us, it is usually a couple of hundreds of dollars in total for all, which charges their account at the end of their trip.
If you want to tilt an additional amount, you can place the small slide that has the total calculated amount of Disney + any cash that you want to add to the little envelope and deliver it personally to them. You can also ask guest services to add to your advice. I find that our servers and hosts of cabins generally go further.
Reserve a position marker for a future cruise 🙂
When you are on the ship and application, you have the opportunity to reserve a position marker for use for a future cruise for $ 250. It will save 10% in a next cruise and $ 250 is considered an initial payment towards the cost, which can be a quite sweet treatment. You can reserve two position markers on behalf of. If you do not use it, receive a refund after the two -year period, but I think it will probably use it 😉
If you have any specific questions for the Disney cruise that I can answer, send them to my way!
Have an amazing day and I will see you soon!
Xoxo
